At TDC we understand that adults with autism desire the same quality of life as the rest of us. Countless young women and men with autism and related disorders across our country crave a place to call their own, work they enjoy and excel in, friends to connect and share experiences with, and places to go. TDC understands that although they are faced with obstacles, they have the same dreams as all of us. Through our state of the art semi-independent living community and innovative Guiding Program, we help achieve that quality of life for every individual in a safe, sustainable, and experience rich community.

With over 50 companies committed to TDC’s vision, opportunities for part-time and full-time employment are vast. Through the Guiding Program, TDC residents develop the skills, abilities, and dynamic thinking necessary in our competitive world. Decision making, problem solving, flexible thinking, and teamwork are just some of the qualities that employers value and look for in employees. Highly trained guides, or “coaches”, are in place at every TDC location to challenge our residents to reach beyond their current abilities and to strive for success.
At times, residents may not be interested or able to be employed. TDC is prepared for such situations and understands the needs of every resident to have meaningful and productive days regardless of employment status. Our personalized dynamic Guiding Program ensures that every resident is carefully and continually assessed so that they can function to the best of their ability today and every day.
